CCRVCCA History

In April 2017, the San Fernando Valley Region of the VCCA hosted the statewide meet known as the All-Cal Meet here in San Luis Obispo.  This annual meet is held each year at a different location throughout California and has also been held in Nevada.  At the time, the Central Coast Region hadn’t been formed but many of our members attended that All-Cal Meet and it didn’t take long for the subject of forming a local region on the Central Coast to become an ongoing topic over the three days of that meet.  In fact, several of our members belonged to other VCCA regions but the long driving distances to patriciate in their activities limited the level of participation in those regions.

So shortly after the 2017 All-Cal concluded, a few of our members met to discuss the possibility of forming a local region of the VCCA here in San Luis Obispo.  Due to previous participation in other regions over the years, it didn’t take long for leaders to emerge out of that small group and by July of 2017 the Central Coast Region was officially charted as a region of the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America!

The Central Coast Region of the VCCA started off strong attracting other existing VCCA members to join the local region from all over the Central Coast of California.  With the great weather and beautiful geography of our area, our backyard offers plenty to see and do.  Although we are a new region, our members have plenty of experience in having fun.  You can visit vcca.org to learn more about the history of the national VCCA.
